Chamonix Day 6 : 11/02/2010
-16 is pretty nippy.
We woke up thinking it would be another slow day with low cloud. Cooney and Tara had a day off skiing to site see around chamonix but Gez and James where hoping to ski Grand Montets.
Fortunately by the time we got up Grand Montets we were above the clouds and visibility was great. Unfortunately it was -16 so we had to delve into our rucksacks to put on extra layers and cover up any exposed skin.
We had a great day exploring some reds and tricky blacks and we even managed a little bit of off piste skiing. (though it has to be said neither James or Gez have quite got the hang of it yet). We stopped a couple of times for hot chocolate and to warm up a bit but we clocked up a lot of miles so were ready to turn in early (again!) It's forecast for another chilly day tomorrow but hopefully it will be clear enough for James, Gez and Cooney to ski Flegere and Brevent for their last day on the slopes.
